DAY 1: CUSCO IN:
Upon arrival to Cusco´s airport, reception and transfer to the hotel.
Time to acclimatize to the altitude.

DAY 2: CITY TOUR:
At 9:00am or 2:00pm; the guide will take you on a half day tour of Cusco. We will start visiting the Cathedral, built over 450 years ago and its fine collection of paintings of the Cusqueñan School. After this, we will visit the Koricancha, the most sumptuous temple of the Inca culture, which was dedicated to worship the sun. Finally we will visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman and its impressive rocky constructions, followed by Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel. (Breakfast).

DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY:
In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to Pisac town, where you will visit the market that is a good reason to make a stop here, where you will find some unique and authentic souvenirs. Then, you will visit the archaeological place, this Inca site remains somewhat mysterious as to what their absolute purpose was, but it seems likely that they were part of a settlement along a vital Inca road with the Amazon rain forest to the east of the mountains, it is generally understood that Pisac provided a connecting point of sorts between the highlands and the jungle. As you explore the Pisac archaeological place, you will find that the views of the mountains and valleys are simply breath-taking. Together with the Inca site, the Pisac markets bring a good amount of visitors to town. After this visit you will be transferred to the restaurant for lunch. After lunch, passengers will be transferred to Ollantaytambo which is one of the most beautiful, and significant, sites in the entire Cusco region and is rich with history that your guide will teach you about. It is a very interesting, and typical, pueblo with extensive, well preserved Inca ruins; we will visit the unfinished temples high above the village on the mountainside. It is one of the most impressive Imperial style complexes built by the Incas. Transfer to the hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4: LARES TREK: CUSCO – LARES – WACAWASI:
At 6 am the guide will pick you up from your hotel, transfer you through the sacred valley, the archaeological remains, the Andean markets, the cultivated Inca terraces, and the small villages, We will drive you until the pass called Wacahuasi (4450m) from here downhill to Lares valley (3250m), where we have time to enjoy the hot springs. Lunch will be served at this point. Here will meet the rest of our trek team, the cook and the arrieros (horse handlers). The horses will carry all food, our backpacks, and the camping gear.
Three hours of uphill trekking to Wacawasi, there we will set up, our campsite, here there will be a nice chance to meet the locals and they will show you their artisan weaving and give you lessons about its ancient techniques. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5: WACAWASI – ABRA IPSAY – PATACANCHA:
Early wake up and breakfast. Today will be the largest and hardest day of the trek, will hike between 7 to 8 hours, on the beginning we will go uphill to the Abra Ipsay (4480m).
The climb is pretty hard with indescribable panoramic view of snow-capped peaks of Pitusiray, Sawasiray, Chicon, surrounded by a stunning landscape. Half way we will stop for lunch. While hiking, we will pass Andean communities; they have a large knowledge of natural agriculture and ancient ways of working textile that is why they have such colorful clothes, unique in this region. After the pass, we will continue our journey downwards until our campsite next to the small village of Patacancha (3720m). We will set up the tents and it will be time to explore the surroundings on your own.
Day 6: PATACANCHA – PUMAMARKA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES:
Today will be 5 hours of downhill hike where we will pass local communities such as Willoq (3400m), Pumamarca (3200m) and many others. From Patacancha through the landscape, crossing these villages, we will be able to taste the traditions and habits handed down on by our ancestors throughout the times of the Tahuatinsuyo Empire (the Inca-culture and traditions). Then we will continue walking and will arrive to Ollantaytambo (2850m). From Ollantaytambo we will take the train to Aguas Calientes (2050m), the tourist town build beneath the ruins of Machupicchu. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 7: MACHU PICCHU COMPLETE GUIDED TOUR – CUSCO:
Today we take the first bus up to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas. Usually, we use to get Machupicchu by 7 am, so from this time on, we will be able to visit Machupicchu before others hikers arrive. This will be a completely guided tour of this complex and then you will have plenty of time to explore by yourself the whole site for about 3 hours and there will be time as to climb the Huayna Picchu mountain as well, and get the best view over Machupicchu. Afterwards, we will all meet to go down to Aguas Calientes where you will be able to have lunch before boarding the train back to Cusco.
Arrival to Poroy´s train station and transfer to the hotel. (Breakfast)

DAY 8: CUSCO – LIMA – HOME:
Depending of your flight time, transfer to Cusco`s airport. (Breakfast)
